We use a two step process where a body wrap is applied to the client and then the client is placed into the DR WRAP body compression pants which then performs the treatment.

All human bodies are managed by smooth circulation of blood and lymph. DR WRAP's drainage system helps various patients recover from skin imperfections by promoting blood and lymph circulation and metabolism.

Lymph is the system that carries the waste materials away from the cells, while the blood brings in the nutrients to the cells. Stagnation of fluid makes the cells become exposed to an increased toxic condition. Increased lymphatic drainage deals with the stagnant lymph effectively.

The Sculpt & Slim Wrap is a non-invasive procedure aimed at smoothing, toning, and contouring your physique. This wrap utilises a powerful combination of active ingredients to minimise the look of cellulite, promote slimming, and assist your body's natural detoxification processes. Throughout your session, the specialised formula is applied to your body and wrapped to optimise absorption while you relax for 60 minutes.

After your 60 minutes wrapping time is complete, the remaining solution is rubbed into your skin and continues to work. This technology uses mechanical vibration and causes disruption of the fibrosis and fat cells. The waste fat is expelled from the cells and then eliminated through the metabolism, thanks to the reactivated blood microcirculation.

The radiofrequency drains the adipocyte (fat cell), whilst the ultrasound waves permanently remove the waste for the body metabolism and lymphatic system to eliminate it to smooth cellulite and reshape bulky fatty areas.

Fat Freezing

Reduction of fat deposit thanks to the intense cold (-10º) that is able to target only the fat cells in that area. Since fat cells is more sensitive to cold temperatures than other skin cells, it freezes the lipids in the cells which then slowly dissolve without causing trauma or injury to the surrounding tissues. We use cryolipolysis (fat freezing) to destroy unwanted stubborn fat cells to reshape and sculpt the body. Once the fat cells have been destroyed they never return! The CoolShape will reduce an average 20% of your fat cells in that area we are treating with each session! Our machine has two handpieces so we are able to treat 2 localised areas in the one 60minute session.

This is High Intensity Focused Ultrasound that works on the SMAS muscle layer to tighten the muscle and the subcutaneous layer to break down excess fatty deposits, whilst also working on the dermis to tighten loose skin and create new collagen.

HIFU is such a hit because it does all this without causing any trauma or irritation to the surface. It is suitable for most skins and there's no downtime! This is usually performed in a course of 3 treatments but this varies depending on the severity of the area. Treatments are one month apart and can take up to 3-6 months to see visible results.

Can everyone have Fat Freeze?

As with every MediSpa treatment a thorough consultation takes place prior to your session to determine if you are a suitable candidate. Some types of fat are hard to the touch, due to genetic factors, so they may not respond to treatment. It is important for a trained professional to assess the area you wish to treat in order to ensure that the fat cells will respond to treatment. Soft fat that you can grab hold of in your hand will respond really well, whereas hard fat which is often positioned behind the muscle wall may not respond at all. Certain medical conditions, medication and circulatory disorders may mean that fat freeze is not an option for you, however for more than 80% of our clients Fat Freeze is a viable, safe alternative to cosmetic surgery, with no downtime or pain involved.

How long does a treatment take and what is involved?

A typical session takes 1 hour, although your first session will take a little longer since it involves recording before and after photos and measurements of the area to be treated, so that we can track your results. A specialised gel and fabric are applied to protect the skin from the cold. The applicators are about the size of a 500g brick of butter and use suction technology to lock onto the pockets of fat, drawing them into the suction cups where the pockets of fat are exposed to -10°C for a duration of 50 minutes. At the end of your treatment your therapist will massage the frozen pockets briefly to restore sensation to the surface skin and you will be provided with specific aftercare advice.

How does Body Smoothing work?

Using a powerful combination of Ultrasound, through a process known as Cavitation and Radio Frequency which produces thermal energy, the treatment breaks down fatty deposits, while tightening and strengthening collagen. Cellulite is a combination of trapped fluid, excess, irregular fat cells (toxins) and slackening skin elasticity. The treatment mechanisms of Body Smoothing target each of these conditions providing the ultimate solution for a firm, smooth, bump-free silhouette.

How soon will I see results?

Sometimes you can see a difference after the first treatment, however bear in mind that this can be from the physical lymphatic drainage that takes place when the therapist massages the applicator over your skin, so although still visible and impressive, just one session is not enough to provide long term results. Generally, clients start seeing more permanent results after 4 sessions, although we recommend a course of 8 sessions over a 12-week period to see the most dramatic results.

What does the treatment involve?

Your therapist will mark up the area to be treated before the session begins, since the body shape changes once you lie down. A firming serum is applied to protect the surface of the skin from heat and to provide a massage medium, while firming the skin all in one go.

A digital temperature gun is used to measure the skin surface temperature at regular intervals to ensure that the device is producing optimal heat to get results and at the same time to ensure that the skin does not overheat.

The therapist applies a handpiece to your skin and moves the handpiece in a specific formation for optimal results. Imagine hearing the whistling sound of dolphins, this is the ultrasound you will hear, as it goes to work breaking up fatty deposits under the skin. It is a very manageable sound and many of our regular clients don’t even notice the sound after the first few treatments. At the same time, the handpiece transmits Radio Frequency which produces heat on the skin and works to tighten and tone the skin. Most people compare the treatment to having a hot stone massage. A Body Smoothing session is the perfect time to catch up on some podcasts or have a nap and we end your session with a 30-minute, complementary lymph drainage session to give you the best results.

What is the Lyxsiwave medical device?

What is the principal action of the device?

The microwaves are absorbed by the liquids in the cellular interstitium and by the adipocytes and cause a rise in temperature, either in depth or on the surface, depending on the case and the type of blemish. A constant airflow not only protects the skin on the surface while the microwaves are being emitted, but also tones and oxygenates the tissue, which appears decidedly smoother and more even. The procedure has a slimming, regenerating and toning effect, acting on specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, arms, and in some cases even under the chin where localised adiposities generally form. In addition to melting excess fat, it compacts and reshapes the skin by firming the tissues.

The method is a more effective variant of the radio frequency treatment, for skin tightening and toning, but it is also an excellent alternative to other bodycontouring treatments such as liposuction.

How does Lysiwave work on the body?

The handpiece, selected according to the characteristics of the area to be treated, emits microwaves at 2.45 GHz, which are gradually absorbed by the fat cells. Twenty percent of the energy reaches the dermis, while the remaining 80 percent penetrates into the fat, thus affecting the subcutaneous fat cells. The airflow in its gaseous state, which is directed onto the skin, is able to restore and improve microcirculation and reactivate the skin’s metabolism, which may be impaired by normal ageing processes, pollution, exposure to sunlight (or artificial UV rays) and stress.

How does the HIFU at Temple compare to other HIFU systems I have seen online?

This means that the operator, your skin therapist has complete control over the depth of treatment and outcome of your results. The device meets the highest safety standards and our team of MediSpa Therapists, are exceptionally well trained in the use of the device and skilled in anatomy and physiology.

Is there any downtime with HIFU?

In 98% of cases there are no visible aftereffects, you can return to life and work as normal right away, although the skin may be slightly pink and tender to the touch for a few days. Remembering that these focussed beams of sound penetrate beyond the surface of the skin, where they create tiny heat injuries inside the selected layer of the skin, starting at 4.5mm where the muscle layer or SMAS layer is situated.

The SMAS layer provides structure and tone to the skin. An example of an ageing SMAS layer is when you see the naso-labial folds on the side of the nose becoming more pronounced, the jawline sagging or a crepey neck starting to form. This is where HIFU is particularly helpful. During a single HIFU session your therapist will also target the skin at 3mm and 1.5mm, ensuring that they not only tighten the deeper layers of your skin, but also the middle and surface layers.

It is this compounding heat effect, which although completely undetected during the treatment, may result in small welts or raised bumps in some individuals who have high histamine levels or head sensitivities. The welts are annoying to see, but not really uncomfortable and they disappear within 3 to 5 days or sooner with the aid of free LED’s which we provide to support clients prone to welts.

Can HIFU melt the fat in my skin by mistake?

We are often asked this question. The short answer is, no not at Temple Skincare & Spa and not with this particular model of in-motion HIFU, which places absolute control in the therapist’s hands. However, this risk can occur with some HIFU devices on the market that do not have the same safety features as the in-motion HIFU and where therapists are not sufficiently trained in the methods of application. Our MediSpa Therapists have been trained in HIFU by Dr Gregoris Stavrou of Biotec Italia, a respected nano-scientist and international lecturer for multiple MediSpa devices. The training involves extensive theory and practical applications before we are allowed to work on supervised models until the required standards are met. Only then are our MediSpa Therapists authorised to provide the service to our clients.
