Just like a little hidden gem, the Temple is located by the pool of a local boutique hotel, the Hills Lodge. There’s definitely a welcoming vibe with fragrant jasmine bushes and nice sitting areas. It’s a stylish and cozy 4.5 star boutique hotel in Castle Hill. They have a reputation for great quality and friendly service, often highly sought after as a wedding venue for a romantic garden ceremony. Their High Tea is a must and it turns out that guests of the Temple can enjoy a special spa menu from the Lodge’s very own Nobles Restaurant.
I didn’t know then, but I was invited to lounge by the pool if I wanted, or even to take a dip before or after my spa appointment. I found plush towels by the spa door and made a mental note to enjoy the pool too on my next visit. Looking back, I should have invited a couple of my girlfriends to make a weekend of it and enjoy both the hotel and spa. The experience is definitely worth it.

After browsing through their massive service menu (it looks like they have everything one needs from a spa here. Aside from relaxing facials, there were also various massage treatments and medispa options to choose from). There are several options to book – phone in, download the app (available only in Google Play for android users), or like me, I just headed to their website and chose to use their online booking system. Booking online was easy. It was just a matter of selecting the treatment category, the actual facial you want and if you have a fave Temple Therapist, book her in for the date and time you prefer. The spa advises to come in at least 15 minutes early before your appointment so that your therapist can tell you more about what to expect from the treatment.
For me, I decided to splurge on their Signature Facial which consists of a personalised skin treatment mainly for hydration, but it also has the most divine face, shoulder and neck massage that drifted me off to complete relaxation.
Cozy and Welcoming Interiors
Sitting in the Temple’s comfy reception area, one of their “Spa Angels,” brought me some tea and a warm towel before my Therapist sat down with me and explained what I can expect from the treatment. I was led through a candle-lit hallway and into a moody spa room. There was a lush, plush bed; a lush, plush bathrobe for me to change into; and, a small tray of spa essentials with a bite-sized choccie for me, which I loved!
The rooms had a beautiful mild scent to just set the mood for what’s going to be a beautiful spa experience.
